The House Keeping
Section established in 2058 BS. It is
working in co-ordination with hospital
administration and supervision of all
kind of cleaning activities of the
hospital, and the surrounding area,
walkways etc is being done by this
department. Besides this Laundry
activities, fogging and spraying
activities, Health aid management,
Hospital linen management and
controlling, Gardening activities are
being done by this department.
Laundry: Laundry in our hospital
functions for washing of linen from all
wards, OPDs, OTs etc. The section is
well equipped with various types of
machines viz. washing machines, hydro
machines, sluicing machines, drying
tumblers, calendaring, bed press and
hard press etc.
A proper washing formula is used for
washing soiled linen collected from
different wards and OPD. Per day average
linen washed varies from 1400 kg to 1500
kg.
There is a facility of accessibility to
tailor, where in the clothes which has
torn in the process of washing can be
mended and also where needed.
Fogging, Spraying and gardening
activities: Scheduled fogging work
with in the institute (including the
residence areas), walkways and the
surrounding areas of the hospitals is
being done the fogging team. Besides the
fogging insecticide, spraying work in
different wards, OPD and residence area
also being done by this team .Total
2staffs are working for this purpose.
Gardening in the hospital areas,
different offices and the executive's
residence area are also maintaining by
our gardeners. They planting the
seasonal flower and maintaining it.
Total 9 nos. of gardeners are working
for this purpose.
Health Aid Management: All the
Health Aid working in the hospital is
under the house keeping. They are
assigned in different wards, OT and ICU/CCU,
Radiology etc for patient care purpose.
Besides this they are assigned for linen
keeping, patient surrounding area
cleaning, bed making and other work
given by the nursing in charges. Total
103 numbers of health aids are working
in this institute.
High wash team: All the wards
and different OPD, lab area, radiology
areas scheduled extra cleaning are being
done by the high wash team. Total 10
nos. of member are working for this
purpose. They are using different kinds
of machines & equipment and chemicals
for cleaning purpose. |
